Player Development Programs
Our Player Development Programs are group-training programs that offer personalized in-depth coaching. Whether it’s a One-Day School—such as the Mental Performance School—or a Five-Week Intro to Golf Program, Player Development Programs allow the student to learn in a group setting that provides self-discovery, accountability and competitive motivation.
One-Day School Topics
Over the last 10 years, golf instruction has been focused on measuring the golf swing with devices that provide insight into what the golf club is doing. However, there has been very little that has focused on how the mind plays a roll positively or negatively in controlling the golf club. The Mental Training Program at Conaway Golf provides insight into how the mind works with motor skill and how you can train your mind to function correctly so you can perform your best.
Lowest Score Wins
A brand new initiative based on the best-selling book, Lowest Score Wins. This seminar identifies Separation Values for different shots you will encounter on the course and then teaches you how to spend your practice time allotment on these values. You will also learn how to create shot patterns for each club and then use these shot patterns to make decision maps for any course you play. You will receive the Lowest Score Wins Playbook and Decision Maps Guide and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
AimPoint Green Reading
AimPoint is a total putting system that will enable you to master read, speed and aim. It is used by PGA, LPGA and European Tour players as well as Division 1 athletes and competitive juniors and amateurs in more than 40 countries worldwide. Don’t let putting be a mystery any longer—Conaway Golf Academy is the only location in Sarasota where you can learn AimPoint. Sign up now so that you can understand break, identify speed, correctly aim and, most importantly, stand over any putt and have the confidence to make everything.
Not everyone is able to hit the ball 300+ yards like Dustin Johnson or Bubba Watson. However, there is no reason you can’t have the skills and ability to score like a Tour player. This half-day school will help you improve your scoring ability and get you to lower your scores.
In this class we will focus on:
- Proper distance control with our wedges. Drills will be explained and practice will be measured.
- Pitching, chipping and bunker play. I will explain the progression from chipping to the flop shot with one basic technique. With this one technique, you will be able to master the short game.
- Putting via the AimPoint Express green reading system. Find out what really causes the ball to break and learn how to identify it accurately.
Intro to Golf

Week 5 – Bounce
Ladies Learning Academy
Starting with the Fundamentals and Putting in Week 1, each 90-minute session will cover a different topic. In addition, each week we’ll have a “playing the game” segment where we discuss everything from rules procedures and etiquette to what you need in your bag (besides golf clubs) and on-course nutrition. We finish by taking what you’ve learned and go on the golf course and play!
Ladies Advanced Academy
This program is for ladies who’ve taken the Learning Academy Class and want to continue to develop, or are looking to advance their game to the next level. Each week’s training session will focus on one specific element of the swing and go in depth to enhance your knowledge and skill. There will be an emphasis on personal development in this class by maximizing practice time with specific feedback for each student.
5 Hours, 5 Shots, 5 Strokes Off Your Game
How do you hit a 30-yard wedge shot? What must you do to escape the bunker in one shot? How do you hit a solid 3-wood? If you have asked yourself any of these questions, then this class is made for you. Over the course of five weeks we’ll focus on five different situational shots that will help lower your scores. During each session we’ll focus on developing the skills needed to execute each shot and learn when to apply it on the golf course. There will be rounds when hopefully you won’t need to use all of these shots; however, having them in your arsenal will make you a more well-rounded player.
For amateurs, the fastest way to break 100, 90 or 80 is to improve their scoring skills from 100 yards and in. This is golf’s equivalent to football’s Red Zone. However, a lot of amateurs struggle in this area. Whether they have trouble from the bunker, chipping the ball properly, hitting their approach wedge the proper distance or holing that putt to get up and down, this area of the game is where a lot of amateurs lose strokes. This five-week class will enlighten you on the secrets to unlock your ability to have a great short game. Each week we will discuss a different topic that will broaden your knowledge and skillset so that you can get over that hurdle and shoot lower scores.
